In the end, we finalized our concept as the LexieBox (named for “lexicon,” the vocabulary of a person or language). The LexieBox is an interactive card dispenser with daily prompt cards focusing on language learning and exploring culture for parents and children to complete together!
- The Lexie Box is a card dispenser with daily prompt cards for parents and children to complete together. The box itself is refilled monthly with new cards each month.
- Each card has an activity or a question that is focused on either language learning or exploring culture. Customized bonus cards are also included that explore a child’s unique interests and passions.
- When the set is completed, the child receives a reward that is predetermined by the parent, incentivizing consistency and excitement.
- Routine learning allows both parent and child to strengthen bonds and form a long-lasting attachment to the family’s native language and culture.
